Another great gag by Ken Culotta. Luckily I’ve been in an airport recently and could better draw the interior of an airport!
Prostitution is nothing new in Louisiana or Washington, D.C.
Ken Culotaa wrote this one. I was going in a different direction yesterday afternoon. My version involved a car and a street walker. I was speaking with Ken when he instantly suggested this far better version.
This is the first time I’ve used Photoshop filters to get effects and I think it worked.
Captain Nancy’s ignore’s the people’s voice and the 9/12 - Tea Party efforts and rams the mess through.
This was one of three cartoons that were going to appear Friday until the Fort Hood tragedy hit the news Thursday night. I pencilled and inked this last Thursday with Photoshop colors added Monday night.
The greatest result Obama has accomplished while President.
Inked on the pencils. Had a tough time deciding how much ‘conservative’ should take up flower area. I condiered loading the area with farm equipment and then decided to simplify.
There had been much talk of Obama’s golf game. So I comboed that with Obama’s accomplishments.
Artistically I had envisioned something different. This was all created in the computer and I just couldn’t get the depth quite right. I should have drawn this on paper first.
All this chatter from one side of how the other is the party of “No’ when that same “No” party doesn’t even have a seat at the table to help guide the path to passage. Yet the media continues the myth.
I penciled and inked this on the same board, so no pencils again. However, the inked version is very, very plain. The digital manipulation got it to a point where the towers appear to be in some misty, cloudy realm.
I have yet to speak to a doctor who is in favor of any part of the idea of reform. I have only spoken to a few. Especially going through recent medical procedures. But it says a lot that those on the front lines are very concerned and seemingly scared.
This was still another all digital production. Below is the digital sketch.
Ken Culotta wrote this one. If Washington doesn’t listen to us, we go have the ultimate public option in one year.
This voting booth was a pain in the neck. I originally drew a more recognized voting stall. However, I realized the one above is becoming standardized. It was tough to digitally remove the stall and replace with the newer plasic foldup version and get the voter to fit in. As I worked to fit it in I had a heck of a pain attack (See my presoanl blog) that pulled me away for more than an hour. While going through the pain I kept thinking how best to get the voting booth drawn. The pain fianlly passed and I finished the art.
I don’t understand how Americans are labeled “protestors” for asking simple, logical questions at these political healthcare forums?

Below is the pencil drawing.
This one written by Ken Culotta and produced too fast by me.
