Aug 30th, 2013 by Rob Smith, Jr.

Here’s a nice story of honesty of teenagers versus the murderous rage we’ve heard recently.

Here’s the story:

August 29th, 2013 – Special interest group poll becomes leftist’s news story.
Aug 29th, 2013 by Rob Smith, Jr.

Here’s the headline in the Palm Beach Post that lays out the poll- ‘Poll: Most Americans don’t want health reform defunded’

Looks like this is a case of a poll reflecting how it’s question is worded. The question has the caveat about methodology of how to defund the process. Reword the question as to whether Americans approve of Obamacare as a job killer and see what results you get.

That and how more irresponsible could a story be than to report of a special interest group’s poll? It would be as bad as presenting as journalism a story about a poll against Obamacare by the Catholic Church, who has filed suit against the administration for, what it feels, is a Federal healthcare system that represents blasphemy.

Very important to notice that the writer is a founder of The Moscow Times and that a list of her stories shows very clearly her political leanings. Pity responsible journalism has been replaced by political activism.

Here’s the story:

‘Poll: Most Americans don’t want health reform defunded –

While many Americans continue to view health reform as a glass half-empty, they don’t want Congress to shatter it, a poll released by the Kaiser Family Foundation today finds.

The poll of 1,503 adults found 42 percent expressing an unfavorable view of the Obama administration’s health law.’

August 29th, 2013: Unlock and unload: ‘Barack Obama issues executive orders on gun control’
Aug 29th, 2013 by Rob Smith, Jr.

This is going to cause troubles for election in 2014 and 2016. Beyond the ripple effect politically in the next few months. Looks like in the fury of Middle East problems, Americans ready to take days off for more vacation time and Congress being out, Obama unrolled this bombshell.

Many, including Glenn Beck, have warned of the Executive Branch taking political control of, what are considered, personal issues involving guns and here they are proved correct. This is likely being slid under the door as Obama prepares for air strikes in Syria to cover over the orders.

Here’s the story:

‘Barack Obama issues executive orders on gun control

President Barack Obama today invoked his executive authority to push through new gun control measures even as his legislative plans for broader action remained stalled in Congress.

Unable to overcome opposition to new gun laws from Republicans and a handful of conservative Democrats, the White House has resorted to issuing executive orders which do not need Congressional approval.

The new orders ban Americans from buying weapons that the US military has provided to foreign governments. Around 250,000 guns, including assault rifles, have been re-imported back into the US since 2005, according to White House figures.’

August 28th, 2013 – Were Republicans kept from MLK Jr. event?
Aug 29th, 2013 by Rob Smith, Jr.

Look how the Washington Post chose to report a story. Exclusion is no way to make a count of attendees.

Republicans are saying they were basically either asked not to attend or ignored when a request was put in to attend. There’s a story floating around saying that there was a request for “Top Republicans”, though who those were or how many are not mentioned.

‘Republicans absent from March on Washington

By Washington Post – Not a single Republican elected official stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday with activists, actors, lawmakers and former presidents invited to mark the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington — a notable absence for a party seeking to attract the support of minority voters……’    Here’s the rest of the story.
