Another great gag by Ken Culotta. Luckily I’ve been in an airport recently and could better draw the interior of an airport!

Click here to watch this cartoon being drawn. This cartoon came about because of an interview with Cristina Romer on ABC News This Week. WD from Sarasota pointed out the interview was coming up by way of Twitter. Thanks to WD for giving me the heads up. I would’ve ordinarily have missed the interview because where I am ‘The McLaughlin Group’ is what I watch when that part of ‘This Week’ is on. Ken took the concept and wrote the gag.

So Washington talks of roping in executive pay. So executives will play the usual games by shifting positions to miss the purse string ties.

I had a fellow in mind as the janitor. I was working where he was a few months ago. That really helped get the distinctive look of the janitor vs. the executives.

This sums up Obama’s run in office at this time. He has a Nobel Prize to show for his actions.

I’m combining all sorts of things here. From the mess that the OMB chief wants to whitewash, to Health and Human Services Director Kathleen Sebelius’ comment that the money for healthcare is already there, only “misdirected” to overpaying for ham.

I did this one quickly. The original cartoon for Tuesday was a tribute to the moon landing with a gag by Ken Culotta. But I had a lot of trouble getting the art to work with the gag. As these stories converged, I made the decision to construct this and hoped it encompassed it all well.

Apparently part of this project has already been done. Nevertheless, it’s listed in the stimulus stuff. I can’t see any turtles being for that much money spent.

Most of this was created in the computer which really skyrocketed the time it took to do it. I get too detailed oriented when working in the computer…Even after 24 years of using them!

It’s the least he could do for the rest of us.

Then there will be those who supported him that’ll be mighty mad that the “Stimulus bill” authroized 17,000 troops to Afghanistan. Nothing new to me. I wrote about this coming many times on this blog. Obama talked about it many times during the campaign. And he’s only getting started. I repeat: Welcome to Bush3. Some of his supporters may soon wish for him to put himself up as collateral for a loan. : )
